Staff
Meet our staff:

Full-Time Staff:

Mary E. Etheart, PhD, LCAC became the Executive Director of Hope House, Inc. in May 2003.  She came here from Miami, Florida where she was the Program Director at Agape Women’s Center and had a private counseling practice in Coral Gables.  Mary loves watching and helping the women of Hope House grow as they learn the tools of recovery and become self-sufficient.  She also enjoys working with the community and has been very impressed with the spirit of generosity here!

Cindy Dohm is the Program Coordinator at Hope House.  Cindy started out at Hope House working as part-time staff from 1999-2001, and has been full-time staff since 2001.  When working with clients, Cindy feels it is critical to emphasize the importance of taking recovery one day at a time. Cindy credits much of her own personal success in recovery to the Hope House program, specifically to the unconditional love and support of the Hope House staff and members of Alcoholics Anonymous. When asked to name the most satisfying aspect of her job, Cindy stated, "Being part of a miracle and getting to watch lives change one day at a time. Being able to give back what was so freely given to me."

Tammy Munson is the Lead Case Manager at Martha's Place. After successfully graduating the Hope House program in 1998, Tammy decided that she wanted to help other women realize that they never had to use drugs and/or alcohol again. She has been a Hope House employee since 2000. Tammy feels satisfaction through helping residents build self-esteem by realizing their own self-worth. She believes that this can be achieved by teaching residents the value of being self-sufficient and independent, as well as encouraging them to strive towards greater achievement in their lives.

Brenda Purdy is a case manager at Hope House. She has been on staff at Hope House since 2005. Brenda states that she enjoys her job due to the opportunities it gives her to help others and watch women change through their personal growth. Brenda encourages all recovering women to believe in themselves, and to never give up, no matter what obstacles they may face.
